De Ladoucette Pouilly Fumé white wine

De Ladoucette white wine has a golden robe; moreover, it is limpid and brilliant. The nose reveals hawthorn-like floral notes as well as a flintstone aroma typical of Pouilly-Fumé. On the palate, the minerality is present, making it possible to qualify this wine as fresh. It is also possible to perceive citrus aromas. This wine is lively and has a finish carried on an iodized note. The grape variety is 100% sauvignon. 

The Domaine Ladoucette (Nozet Castle) belongs to the family of the Comtes Lafond, a famous line of French bankers since the end of the 18th century. This domain, world reference for sauvignon is the most important and most famous of the Pouilly-Fumé appellation. Today it belongs to Baron Patrick de Ladoucette, great-grandson of the Comtes Lafond. In 1972, he became the first member of his family to invest fully in the culture of wine, when he was 20 years old. His domain, Château du Nozet is located 4 km from Pouilly-sur-Loire. It belonged to an illegitimate daughter of Louis XV before being owned by the families of Ladoucette and Lafond. Baron Patrick de Ladoucette produces here Pouilly Fumé Ladoucette, a cuvée made from vines planted on the hills around Pouilly-sur-Loire where clay and siliceous soil dominates.
